April 2025

  • Delegate Training Discussion - 1 pm EDT (Apr 30) - video, transcript - we discussed the Delegate Training proposal, focusing on whether it should be brought to a vote. Following the discussion, it was agreed to include the proposal in the May voting cycle.
  • Ecosystem Growth Discussion - 07.30 am EDT (Apr 30) - video, transcript - we discussed several proposals for ecosystem growth, including retroactive infrastructure funding, grant programs, audit subsidies, and liquidity incentives, and decided to extend the response window for another week. We also debated adjusting the votable supply to address quorum issues, considering both increasing the supply and decreasing the quorum, with the consensus leaning towards a temporary flat distribution.
  • Weekly DAO & Governance Call - 1 pm EDT (Apr 23) - video, transcript - similarly to the call at 07.30 am, we discussed the new proposal to adjust votable supply which suggests a temporary delegation of 1.5m SCR from the Scroll DAO treasury to 46 active delegates to boost votable supply and reduce quorum risk. We also discussed requesting ideas for ecosystem growth as the next step in formalizing concepts, following up on our previous Miro board sessions. The call also included a presentation from Blockful on potential governance proposal.
  • Delegate Training Discussion - 12.30 pm EDT (Apr 23) - video, transcript - we discussed final steps in finalizing the proposal going forward and setting a separate call for the working group who will continue working on the delegate training program.
  • Weekly DAO & Governance Call - 07.30 am EDT (Apr 23) - video, transcript - we discussed the new proposal to adjust votable supply which suggests a temporary delegation of 1.5m SCR from the Scroll DAO treasury to 46 active delegates to boost votable supply and reduce quorum risk. We also discussed requesting ideas for ecosystem growth as the next step in formalizing concepts, following up on our previous Miro board sessions.
  • Ecosystem Growth Discussion - 1.00 pm EDT (Apr 16) - video, transcript - we focused on two topics during this call. First, we spoke about quorum and votable supply in the coming months. The Foundation team will be following up with a draft proposal next week. Second, we continued the conversation on the ecosystem growth.
  • Ecosystem Growth Discussion - 07.30 am EDT (Apr 16) - video, transcript - we discussed various categories for ecosystem growth, including liquidity incentives, talent attraction, with a strong focus on supporting “scroll first” projects, using the Miro board.
  • Kenya Local Node Discussion - 5 pm EDT (Apr 14) - video, transcript - we had a conversation about a proposal for a local node centered on education and founder onboarding. During the discussion, feedback was shared highlighting the need to prioritize support for founders, along with a request for a regional evaluation and a detailed activity timeline.
  • Argentina Local Node Discussion - 11 am EDT (Apr 10) - video, transcript - we had a conversation about a regional proposal for Argentina to become a local node, including the current situation in Argentina, blockchain adoption, stable coin usage, and new regulations.   • Ecosystem Growth Brainstorming Call - 1 pm EDT (Apr 9) - video, transcript - we brainstormed ideas for ecosystem growth on Scroll, focusing on attracting and supporting founders building Scroll-native applications. The call also included a Miro board live session.
  • Delegate Training Call - 12.30 pm EDT (Apr 9) - video, transcript - we discussed the delegate training proposal, which is being refined. We also discussed changes to the budget, particularly to the facilitator compensation, with more details being added.
  • Strategy Update with Raza - 7:30a EDT (Apr 9) - video, transcript - in this call, we had Raza, Scroll’s Head of Growth, join to share on the current thinking on Scroll’s growth strategy. The goal was to help provide context for the coming workshops to think through the DAO’s approach towards ecosystem growth.
  • Delegate Training Call - 1 pm EDT (Apr 2) - video, transcript - we discussed the current proposal, focusing on topics such as budget for module development and facilitation, curriculum development as well as broader questions on DAO operations and priorities.
  • Grant Program Discussion - 07:30 EDT (Apr 2) - video, transcript - we had a general discussion and planning session, with a focus on upcoming workshops and strategy adjustments for the DAO.
  • Argentina Local Nodes call - 1 pm EDT (Apr 1) - video, transcript - we discussed establishing a local node in Argentina for the Scroll ecosystem, focusing on supporting founders and builders to participate in Scroll programs like Scroll Open. March 2025

  • Scroll Open Pipeline & Local Nodes call - 1 pm EDT (Mar 26) - video, transcript - Emily Lin presented the strategy on refocusing Scroll’s initiatives on supporting founders and builders through programs like Open Campus, with the goal of nurturing innovation and project success within the ecosystem. Juan Molina presented a framework for assessing regions for local nodes, considering factors such as market readiness, infrastructure, and local leadership.
  • Delegate Training Discussion - 12.30 pm EDT (Mar 26) - video - we discussed the final remarks needed to support the proposal as it moves toward completion and publication on the forum. Relevant doc can be found here.
  • Scroll Strategy Update to the DAO - 7.30 am EDT (Mar 26) - video, transcript - we discussed LRTs (scrETH & sSCR) and their restaking, covering broader topics such as Growth strategy and plans as well as ongoing research.
  • Delegate Training Call - 1 pm EDT (Mar 19) - video, transcript - we discussed the next steps to finalize the proposal, covering topics such as interest in curriculum development, financial incentives, budget considerations, and the timeline for submitting the proposal for voting.   • Brazil Local Nodes Call - 2 PM EDT (Mar 14) - video, transcript - we discussed the launch of Scroll’s local nodes in Brazil, focusing on community engagement, developer education, and partnerships. Relevant doc can be found here.
  • Data and Metrics Call - 11 AM EDT (Mar 14) - video, transcript - we discussed defining data and metrics for evaluating programs (grants, local nodes, delegate training), ensuring structured evaluation, and adopting a data-centric approach for tracking on-chain expenditures and analyzing user activity. Follow-ups were scheduled for April.
  • Malaysia Local Nodes Call - 10 AM EDT (Mar 13) - video, transcript - we discussed the ETHKL conference, the hacker house as a gateway for students into web3 and Scroll, stipends for its management, and aligning local node activities with Scroll Open and Scroll Campus.   • Protocol Upgrade - Weekly DAO & Governance Call - 1 PM EDT (Mar 12) - video, transcript - Peter, a Protocol Engineer at Up Labs, gave a presentation on the upcoming protocol upgrade, discussing the proposed changes, technical considerations, and governance implications.
  • Delegate Training Discussion - 12:30 PM EDT (Mar 12) - video, transcript - we discussed the contents of the delegate training program and feedback on the curriculum. The discussion covered the curriculum content, the contributors involved in its development, the timeline for bringing the proposal to a vote, as well as the budget for executing the proposal.   • Weekly DAO & Governance Call - 7:30 AM EDT (Mar 12) - video, transcript - we discussed key governance updates, ongoing DAO proposals, and community engagement strategies. Topics included local node proposals, delegate training, and incubation program.
  • South Korea Local Nodes call - 8 am EDT/9 pm KST (Mar 10) - video, transcript - we discussed organizing community gatherings around ETH Seoul, including coffee chats to engage people interested in Scroll. We also talked about the need for educational resources and better access to testnet tokens to support the Korean Ethereum community. Relevant doc to see discussion notes is here.
  • Delegate Training call 1 pm EST/UTC-5 (Mar 5) - video, transcript - we discussed the current curriculum proposal. The next steps are to draft a form to share with delegates (should go out to the telegram and forum by Fri Mar 7), and then to identify the team who will work on defining the proposal.
  • Grant Program call 7.30 am EST/UTC-5 (Mar 5) - video, transcript - we discussed some feedback on the proposal on the forum regarding the DeFi grant program. Next step is to get more feedback to see if any adjustments need to be made before putting up the proposal up for vote.

February 2025

  • Malaysia Local Nodes call 8 am EST/UTC-5 (Feb 20) - video, transcript - we discussed potential next steps for the Malaysia Local Node program. Relevant doc to see discussion notes is here.
  • Delegate Training focused call 1pm EST/UTC-5 (Feb 19) - video, transcript - in this call we got into the specifics of the delegate training doc and developed a plan going forward. Next call is in 2 weeks and notes can be found here.
  • Grant Program focused call 7.30 am EST/UTC-5 (Feb 19) - video, transcript - in this call, we discussed the forthcoming proposal for the first DAO DeFi builder focused grant program. You can see the current state of the idea in this doc and a proposl should be up on the forum this week.
  • Korea Local Nodes call 8 am EST/UTC-5 (Feb 18) - video, transcript - in this call, we went spoke about some specific ideas for the Seoul based local community node program. Proposal to come in March.
  • Grant Program focused call 10 am EST/UTC-5 (Feb 13) - video, transcript, relevant doc - we spoke about the separating the regional focus and a DeFi focus.
  • Scroll LRT Vision and Roadmap call 7.30 am EST/UTC-5 (Feb 12) - video, transcript - in this call, Carvas from the growth team shared about the forthcoming liquid restaking token vision and roadmap
  • Delegate Training Program focused call 1 pm EST/UTC-5 (Feb 5) - video, transcript - we got into the curriculum sketch that Kene and Nneoma put together and talking about the overall goal of the program
  • Grant Program focused call 7.30 am EST/UTC-5 (Feb 5) - video, transcript - we spoke about the sketch of the grant program so that we can be ready to put up a proposal for the program by Mar 1
