Past Week: April 28 - May 2

  • Delegate Training Discussion - 1 pm EDT (Apr 30) - we discussed the Delegate Training proposal, focusing on whether it should be brought to a vote. Following the discussion, it was agreed to include the proposal in the May voting cycle.
  • Ecosystem Growth Discussion - 07.30 am EDT (Apr 30) - we discussed several proposals for ecosystem growth, including retroactive infrastructure funding, grant programs, audit subsidies, and liquidity incentives, and decided to extend the response window for another week. We also debated adjusting the votable supply to address quorum issues, considering both increasing the supply and decreasing the quorum, with the consensus leaning towards a temporary flat distribution.

    • Agenda: We aim to discuss the Votable Supply Adjustment proposal, and Ecosystem Growth ideas for ecosystem growth.

    • Agenda: 1 pm EDT session will cover the same content as the 1 pm EDT call and is scheduled to accommodate participants in different time zones.

  • The Scroll DAO Delegate Accelerator Proposal opens for voting on May 4 (note: the exact date may vary slightly depending on your time zone)!
    • This proposal requests $87,000 + 100,000 SCR (371,875 SCR total) for a DAO-funded Delegate Accelerator (D/Acc) program that will develop a competent and diverse set of delegates capable of actively governing the Scroll DAO.

Seeking feedback/comment:

  • Ecosystem Growth Request for Ideas (RFI)

    • Scroll DAO is moving from high-level ecosystem growth ideas to more concrete plans. We’re launching a Request for Ideas (RFI)-a step before full proposals to gather more detailed input from the community. Based on the discussion in the first call on Apr 30, we are extending the deadline for submissions and initial feedback through May 6th discuss on the gov calls on May 7th.
    • CTA: Please share your RFIs and review the RFIs submitted by the community members.

  • Votable Supply Adjustment Proposal.

    • This proposal suggests a temporary delegation of 1.5m SCR from the Scroll DAO treasury to 46 active delegates to boost votable supply and reduce quorum risk. The delegation, managed via a Foundation multisig, would run until October 2025. Delegates who become inactive may have their tokens reallocated. The goal is to ensure proposals can pass even if top delegates are unavailable.
