Ethereum TGU Delegate Thread

Our Statement

Ethereum TGU was created in 2018 to create an open grassroots community for anyone interested in Ethereum as a problem-solving technology. We believe that education is a crucial component of growing the community. We host free educational activities with topics like ZK, DeFi, NFTs, Programmable Cryptography, Governance, etc.

As a community, we determined from the start to be active participants in the Infinite Garden, so our activities focus on:

  • Organize events such as monthly meetups, bootcamps, hackathons, and private quadratic funding rounds for local public goods, all aimed at onboarding and educating.
  • Engage with key groups to drive blockchain and Ethereum education, fostering adoption in Honduras.
  • Support individual initiatives from Hondurans in the Ethereum ecosystem, helping them grow and learn based on their unique interests, abilities, and ideas.
  • Continuously innovate and experiment with practices that enhance our community’s growth while contributing to the broader ecosystem.
  • Collaborate on projects, sharing ideas, best practices, and lessons learned with both national and international communities to strengthen outreach, education, and adoption efforts.

Our message to the community and ecosystem:

We’ve seen firsthand how Scroll is committed to supporting overlooked communities and regions. We’re submitting our delegation to help decentralize the protocol and bring a fresh perspective. We are active, bilingual contributors (Spanish and English), offering insights from builders, governance, project management, communication, and community engagement.

Top Issues

Builders

We believe that web3 opens has amazing potential for people seeking for learning and job opportunities that might not be easily available to them. But in order for builders to grasps these new opportunities, tooling, documentation; onboarding spaces are needed. Level Up is a great resource for new builders and we will support these type of initiatives.

Community

We believe community is key to fostering collaboration and support. Mutual aid and shared rules of coexistence are essential for a community to thrive. Community spaces build trust, create opportunities, and encourage collective growth, helping individuals advance in their own pursuits.

Experimentation

We believe that experimentation is key for the evolution of the process and tools that we have at our disposal, we are always eager to keep experimenting and trying new stuff that could benefit the community.

Decentralization

We believe diverse perspectives are essential for a complete picture, and we seek innovative ideas that drive growth. Our unique viewpoint comes from our experience with Ethereum, overcoming challenges in a developing country, and contributing across various spaces to empower and ensure project success.

Our rationale on proposal: Research to Inform a Builder Support Strategy

After reviewing the proposal we decided to vote FOR the proposal as we feel it will add value to the protocol in the way that it will help determine the motivations of builders when in comes to deciding what protocol they want to build on, we suggest that after the deliverables have been met , the RnDAO crew together with the delegates that participated in the CCC run a session in order to create a list of best practices and any adjustments (if any are needed) that could be used in future research programs.

Here is our rationale for voting in favor of passing the Scroll Governance Constitution:

Ethereum TGU believes this is a crucial proposal for establishing the foundation of the Scroll Governance process. In terms of structure and clarity, the proposal is well-designed.

We also appreciate that it includes a mechanism for future upgrades and updates, which we consider an essential aspect. Additionally, we find that the document clearly outlines responsibilities.

By passing this proposal, we aim to promote participation among delegates and attract new ones to the protocol.

Our Rationale for Voting in Favor of the Scroll DAO Delegate Accelerator Proposal

As leaders of the Ethereum community in Honduras, we strongly believe that education and competence are cornerstones of effective decision-making.
This proposal aims to incentivize current delegates to continue developing their knowledge in all areas related to governance. By doing so, it will ultimately help the Scroll DAO move in the right direction.

We are confident in the allocation of resources proposed to achieve this objective, and we hope other DAOs across the ecosystem adopt a similar approach. Empowering delegates—and all those interested in participating in governance—with the right tools is essential to fostering better decision-makers.

Rationale for Voting in Favor of the Kenya Scroll Node Founder Program Proposal

We endorse the Kenya Scroll Node Founder Program, a three-month, cohort-based initiative spearheaded by Web3Clubs, East Africa’s foremost Web3 incubator. This proposal presents a unique opportunity to position Scroll at the heart of Africa’s emerging onchain economy and unlock substantial long-term value through targeted builder engagement, institutional partnerships, and ecosystem growth.

Rationale for Voting in Favor of the Temporary Quorum Support Proposal

This proposal offers a pragmatic and time-bound solution to a persistent governance challenge: the inability of otherwise-supported proposals to pass due to quorum shortfalls. In light of recent fluctuations in votable supply—especially observed during the most recent voting cycle—this initiative addresses a clear structural gap in Scroll’s governance system without altering the distribution of actual voting power.

Rationale for Voting in Favor of the Governance Contribution Recognition (GCR) Proposal

The Governance Contribution Recognition (GCR) program is a timely and essential step toward building a healthier, more participatory DAO. By recognizing and rewarding meaningful engagement in Scroll’s governance process, this initiative fosters a culture of active contribution, accountability, and long-term alignment with the protocol.

Rationale for Voting in Favor of the Ecosystem Growth Council (EGC) Proposal

The establishment of the Ecosystem Growth Council (EGC) represents a significant milestone in the evolution of Scroll DAO. As the DAO matures, it must create structures that enable strategic growth while maintaining community alignment and accountability. The EGC does exactly that—by creating a dedicated, representative body to source, evaluate, and execute ecosystem growth programs.
