Hello everyone! We are a team of dedicated governance enthusiasts who have been in the governance space for over four years. Our team were some of the first members involved in defi governance and we want to apply what we have learned over the years to Scroll.
We have been testing Scroll since testnet and have been involved heavily on chain, including deploying over $500k of UNI on behalf of Uniswap to incentive and promote TVL and liquidity growth. We’ve angel invested into a couple of Scroll native teams and intend to keep and hold any airdropped tokens long term, aligning ourselves financially with the DAO. We’re excited to become delegates and are grateful to be along for the journey!
Core Values:
Growth: Our decisions are primarily focused on the growth of the protocol. This often results in how to spend money efficiently, but even more importantly and objecting for unreasonable spends and knowing when to vote no.
Transparency: Clear communication with votes and explanations of reasoning, and an equivalent demand for proposals to do the same. Too often we see thousands, if not millions, being rolled up together and glossed over during proposals.
Accountability: Too often once a decision is done, having proper accountability becomes an afterthought. Whether it’s a DAO promise or a grant or a new program, once a DAO votes something in, we forget about it. Our goal with PGov is to both continue to check in on these decisions as well as ensure that there are proper channels set up to ensure accountability.
Conflicts of Interest:
If situations arise, we will abstain from a vote, and clearly state the conflict on the forums.
Thanks for the comment! Wrt to accountability, our focus on this start initially with the Uniswap Accountability Committee and further with grants accountability on milestones for Optimism. We think very often, very large grants or promises are made and once a vote is voted in, it gets forgotten about and noone checks up on it until it’s “too late”
We voted Yes: This is a straight forward proposal that we are in support of as identifying the most effective builder support mechanisms ensures that investments yield maximum impact and prevent resource misallocation. Overall, this proposal represents a proactive and strategic effort to bolster Scroll’s appeal to builders. By investing in thorough research and collaborative strategy development, we can ensure that our builder support initiatives are both effective and efficient, driving sustained growth and success for the Scroll ecosystem.
We voted Yes: We support the Scroll DAO Constitution proposal as it establishes a clear, adaptable framework for decentralized governance, ensuring transparency, inclusivity, and accountability within the Scroll ecosystem. By defining roles, responsibilities, and processes, it empowers community members to actively participate in decision-making, fostering a resilient and collaborative environment. This foundation is essential for the sustainable growth and success of the Scroll DAO.
We voted For: As described, this is the latest upgrade since Darwin, and the biggest upgrade since Scroll launched its mainnet. The five main changes to Migration to MPT state commitment, Optimized rollup process, EIP-7702 and RIP-7212 support, and Stage-1 readiness are crucial, resulting in lower fees, higher throughput and better security.
