8. What Should AI Not Do?
Concerns expressed by delegates:
Fully automating rationale writing – risks erasing delegate voice and reasoning .
Autonomous voting – concerns raised that this removes human judgment and delegate responsibility (automated voting decisions without human oversight).
Over-simplified summaries – may lead to misinterpretation
Redundant or low-priority functions - translation tools seen as unnecessary (easily done through existing means), FAQ bots considered premature in fast-evolving environments.
9. Tools Mentioned from Other DAOs
- Tally – delegates found email alerts helpful
- Optimism & Arbitrum – mentioned as points of comparison, though delegates noted limited adoption or impact of AI tooling so far
Final Takeaways
- Delegates want AI to reduce information overload - not replace human input
- Most useful tools: proposal/discussion summarizers, notifications
- Preferred formats: tools embedded in the forum
- Strong interest in co-developing tools that support and respect delegate roles
Conclusion
Thank you again to all the delegates who took the time to share their thoughts and experiences. Your input is invaluable as we explore how AI can support and strengthen Scroll’s governance process.
