Local Node: Kenya ( Kenya Scroll Local Node Founder Program)
We are generally skeptical of the Local Node initiative as it can generate sustained costs for Scroll. What we are looking for in proposals:
- clear outcomes, clear deliverables and high-impact benefits for Scroll
- proposals mostly focused on creating value around existing projects of Scroll or building new ones on top of Scroll that drive positive network effects and return value back into the protocol
- proposals that that create value beyond education and create tangible value
- lean management of funds, with spending directly tied to the goals mentioned above.
Why were voting for:
The Kenya Local Node proposal delineates clear outcomes, with measurable outputs and deliverables. We were pleased to see how they directly tied the funds invested to creation of projects that can drive value back to Scroll: aiming to train 5-10 founder teams, create integrations with tradfi, applications to Kenya CMA. This type of proposals can generate growth in projects and usage on Scroll in the region. We look foward to see the evolution of this node in the duration of these three months!
