Scroll DAO Monthly Call — October 29, 2026

Thank you to everyone who joined our October Scroll DAO Monthly Call. It was great to hear thoughtful questions and honest feedback from delegates across different regions.

This month, we shared progress on Compass and the broader product stack, provided more context on the proposed network transition, and continued the conversation about the DAO’s role as Scroll moves forward.

The network transition and migration plans remain subject to a formal proposal and governance review.

1. Product Progress

Compass continues to move forward. Premium subscriptions are already available on iOS, while the Android app and additional fiat payment options are currently in development.

Compass API is being developed as the routing layer across a range of external and proprietary AI models. USX and SCR integrations are expected to follow as the product stack develops.

2. Proposed Network Transition

We shared more context on the proposed transition from a permissionless network to an application-specific, permissioned network designed around private AI interactions, payments, and verifiable rules.

The upcoming proposal will explain how the network supports Compass and Compass API, the roles of SCR and USX, and the planned migration of both assets to Ethereum mainnet. Technical preparation is underway, including security audits and positions.scroll.io, which is being prepared to help users review their positions and move or withdraw assets safely during the transition.

3. SCR and USX

Under the proposed model, SCR will retain its governance and voting role. Model providers and verifiers would also stake SCR as collateral when participating in the network.

USX is intended to serve as the payment layer across the product stack, allowing users and developers to set budgets and settle AI-related tasks.

The detailed mechanics will be included in the formal proposal.

4. The DAO’s Role

The Foundation will remain responsible for product development and day-to-day execution, while the DAO gradually develops an oversight and accountability role for major decisions affecting SCR holders. Delegates supported starting with a focused role and expanding it over time as trust and operating capacity grow.

We will schedule a session with Raza when the proposal moves to a vote. We also want to thank Juan Molina, who joined the call to share his farewell from the team and his intention to remain involved with Scroll as a delegate.

5. Next Steps

  • Publish the detailed transition proposal on the governance forum
  • Schedule a session with Raza before the governance vote
  • Continue technical audits and user migration planning
  • Share the call notes and recording with participants

Thank you again to everyone who joined and contributed. We appreciate the honest feedback and look forward to continuing the conversation together.
