I’m Peter Maina, a Kenya-based founder and ecosystem builder working at the intersection of AgriTech, web3, and community organising. I come to Scroll governance as a 2x founder and product lead who has spent the last few years designing, testing, and shipping solutions for real people in emerging markets, not just for crypto-native users. My journey from AgriTech into web3 has been driven by a simple question: how do we turn powerful technology into tools that actually move the needle for farmers, founders, and local communities?

My strengths sit across deep research, product development, marketing, and community building:

  • I break down complex problems, map stakeholders, and pressure-test assumptions before backing any direction.

  • I translate research into clear product decisions and policies that are grounded in user needs.

  • I work end-to-end on products, from problem discovery and user interviews to feature prioritization and launches.

  • I have a strong instinct for which governance proposals are technically feasible, operationally realistic, and likely to deliver real value to Scroll’s zkEVM ecosystem.

  • I craft narratives, educational content, and community touchpoints that help bring new users and builders into web3.

As a Scroll DAO delegate, I want to bring an African, founder-first perspective into governance:

  • I care about proposals that make it easier for builders to ship on Scroll.

  • I am especially interested in practical zkEVM use cases that touch real-world problems.

  • I will advocate for intentional inclusion of emerging markets like Kenya and the broader continent in Scroll’s growth story.

  • I will carefully evaluate proposals, ask hard but constructive questions, and support initiatives that strengthen Scroll’s scalability, security, and global adoption.
