Security Subsidy Program for Scroll Builders

Hi everyone!

We’d like to share an update refered to the Security Subsidy Program rolled on June 24th 2025. With the org changes from last year we’ve been unable to provide proper rails to the program but given the ongoing requirements we’re aiming to do so now.

In that sense, we’ll recap on the disbursements made so far and provide the respective information regarding providers, process, disbursements and all of the relevant and available data, doubling on the fact that security remains as one of the core pillars for any succesful project and that associated costs still are a financial challenge for many native projects.

To that end, @Areta / @Chris_Areta will also contribute to that end as owner of the Areta Market Place which routes quotes to builders.

The Operations Committee will then asses the given requirements, destining Ecosystem Allocation Funds from the Treasury Allocation and effectively reflecting those accordingly in the Treasury Dashboard.

2025

Polystream by Cantina.

Budget: 31,500 USDC

Timeline: Oct 28, 2025 - December 16, 2025 (full timeline breakdown)

Audit: Polystream Vault | Cantina

2026

SynthOS by Sherlock.

Timeline: March 21, 2026 - April 10th, 2026 (Mainnet launch)

Budget: 40,999 USDC

Project: SynthOS is a cross-chain yield aggregation protocol built on Scroll. Users create an account on Scroll, deposit tokens, and allocate to yield strategies across multiple EVM chains, all routed through LayerZero. On the current stage, they are launching with a web app, mobile app, and API layer all built out, with marketing channels lined up and ready to go pending audit completion.

Motivation: The protocol handles users’ funds directly by depositing into multiple protocols across chains. Given the cross-chain complexity and handling user assets, security is a keypoint before going live.

Scope: The full smart contract source directory (excluding interfaces) covering account management, cross-chain bridging via LayerZero, vault adapters, fee management, routing, and our relayer infrastructure.

Great update on the program @SEEDGov , thanks for sharing! As always, fully aligned on the importance of security and really glad to be working alongside you on this program. Seeing it continue to grow is exactly what the Scroll ecosystem needs to ensure projects can build and launch with confidence.

On our end, alongside the two projects mentioned above who have proceeded with their audits via the Areta Marketplace, we’ve also onboarded a third prospective project who is currently reviewing quotes. Across all three engagements, we’ve surfaced 22 competitive quotes from our top-tier whitelisted providers, and we’re looking forward to seeing more projects come through the pipeline.

As a reminder, the marketplace is open to all projects building on Scroll, not just subsidy recipients. Whether you’re early in the process or ready to get quotes, you can get started here: https://scroll.areta.market/intro
