We’re happy to present the 1st proposal to the DAO, now live for voting.
Our rationale of why start here:
- builder support is critical for Scroll to survive
- we don’t have ilimited resources to waste, so being strategic on how the capital is allocated is key
- there’s a lot we can learn from what’s been tried so we’re not repeating mistakes
- Scroll needs to know for builder support to be really effective: where to focus (from Scroll strategy) and how to do it (from this research)
- in theory, the how could be done later, but time is also of the essence, and already there were concerns about the time the research takes. So we’ve found the ideal balance to be parallelising these two workstreams and as such are helping the DAO take this route. The research proposal has also been designed with some flexibility so we can take insights from the what as it develops.
Conclusion: expect us to facilitate a coalition for the scroll strategy deliberation (likely new proposal), and in the meantime, please support the research proposal so we get going this year with a strong foot
