Scroll Vibecoding Sprint — Final Report

Organised by B<>rder/ess Builders’ OP
Dates: 8th – 13th December 2025
Format: Hybrid (Virtual classes + community coordination)
Focus: Vibecoding, consumer dApps, and developer onboarding on Scroll

The Scroll Vibecoding Sprint was a 7-day intensive builder program designed to onboard developers into the Scroll ecosystem through a structured blend of protocol education, AI-assisted development (vibecoding), hands-on building, and community feedback.

The sprint targeted first-time and emerging builders, emphasizing:

  • Building real, consumer-facing products

  • Deploying on Scroll (Sepolia)

  • Understanding user onboarding, UX, and product storytelling

  • Learning by shipping, not just coding

By the end of the sprint, 11 functional projects were built and demonstrated, surpassing initial expectations across participation, output quality, and ecosystem engagement.

Pre-Event Activities & Preparation**

Community & Content Activation

Before the sprint:

  • Over 30 pieces of content were published

  • Content was distributed across 10+ social media accounts, including:

    • B<>rder/ess main channels

    • University Web3 & tech clubs

    • Community managers’ personal accounts

  • Cumulative reach: 10,000+ impressions

  • 151 developers registered for the sprint

These content push ensured strong awareness, early momentum, and a diverse mix of student builders, indie developers, and early founders.

    There were so many other contents we haven’t highlighted that contributed to our marketing and promoting efforts for the Scroll Vibecoding session.

Coordination & Tooling

The B<>rder/ess Builders Telegram was used as the central communication:

A Sub Group for Scroll was created and resources, discussion, and communication co-ordination were done here;

    • Office-hour style discussions

  • Learning materials and recordings were shared openly to support asynchronous participation.


Program Delivery (During the Event)

Program Structure & Estimated Teaching Time

The sprint combined live instruction, practical sessions, and guided building.

Estimated total instructional & facilitation hours:

  • Live teaching & workshops: ~10 hours

  • Practical build sessions & walkthroughs: ~6 hours

  • Mentor support, reviews, coordination: ~6–8 hours
    Total estimated program effort: ~22–24 hours


Day 1–2: Getting Builders Scroll-Ready (8–9 December)

Goal: Onboard builders into Scroll and set up development environments

Activities:

  • Scroll ecosystem overview (zkEVM, Ethereum equivalence)

  • Wallet setup and Scroll Sepolia onboarding

  • Introduction to AI-assisted vibecoding workflows

  • Smart contract deployment walkthroughs

Resources Shared:

  • Slide deck & recordings

  • Scroll & Sepolia faucets

  • Remix IDE, Scaffold-ETH

  • Demo contract & demo app repositories

Outcome:
Participants gained foundational understanding of Scroll and were technically prepared to build.

Day 3–4: Practical Development & Vibecoding (10–11 December)**

Goal: Move from idea to deployable MVP

Activities:

  • Designing consumer dApps and user flows

  • Smart contract development and testing

  • Frontend integration using AI tools

  • Live debugging and iteration support

Outcome:
Teams and solo builders began deploying functional prototypes on Scroll Sepolia.

Day 5: Marketing, Storytelling & User Thinking (12 December)**

Goal: Prepare builders to ship to real users

Activities:

  • Product storytelling and pitching

  • Demo preparation

  • User onboarding thinking

  • Introduction to impact tracking concepts (Karma GAP)

Outcome:
Builders reframed projects around users, UX, and clarity, not just code.

Day 6: Demo Day & Review (13 December)

Goal: Showcase, test, and evaluate projects

Activities:

  • Live demos of Scroll-based projects

  • Evaluation based on:

    • Scroll integration

    • UX & onboarding

    • Creativity & clarity

    • Product readiness

Outcome:

  • 11 projects successfully demonstrated

  • 6 winning projects received prizes

  • Builders are now being prepared for scaling and continuation into 2026

Projects Built

A total of 11 consumer-facing products were developed, spanning payments, education, DAO tooling, onboarding, security, and AI-enabled utilities.

  • ScrollRemit – Streaming remittances with safety controls

  • GoalVault – Collaborative savings vaults

  • Roast My Wallet – Viral wallet-based onboarding with Jumper bridge

  • Scroll Academy – Structured onboarding & learning on Scroll

  • Synthona – DAO operating system

  • Agora – Lightweight on-chain governance for communities

Builder Feedback & Learnings

What Worked Well

  • High-energy, fast-paced learning

  • Vibecoding significantly reduced build time

  • Scroll’s Ethereum equivalence lowered friction

  • Builders shifted from “just coding” to product thinking

Areas for Improvement

  • Longer build duration (2 weeks preferred by some)

  • More AI credits for vibecoding

  • Structured office hours for deployment & RPC issues

  • Earlier clarity on solo vs team participation

Overall sentiment was strongly positive, with multiple builders rating the experience highly impactful and motivating.

Conclusion

The Scroll Vibecoding Sprint successfully demonstrated that short, focused, well-coordinated builder programs can:

  • Onboard developers effectively

  • Produce real, deployable products

  • Drive meaningful engagement with the Scroll ecosystem

This sprint validates the B<>rder/ess Builder’s OP model as a scalable, repeatable approach to developer onboarding, user activation, and ecosystem growth.

Next Steps

  • Ongoing mentorship for top projects

  • Support with ecosystem grants & incubation

  • Expansion into longer Builder Sprints and the full Builder’s OP in 2026
