Scroll Local Node Argentina - Buidlers Tech
Quarterly Impact Report (October–December 2025)
Author: Martin H. Pefaur - Program Lead – Local Node Argentina
Program: Scroll Local Nodes Initiative
1. Executive Summary
Between October and December 2025, the Argentina Local Node executed a comprehensive builder activation program aligned with the original Buidlẽrs Realm – Builder Events Series proposal. The initiative significantly exceeded its original KPIs across all core dimensions: builder engagement, project deployment, community growth, and ecosystem visibility.
Over a three‑month period, the Local Node:
-
Executed 3 full builder programs (vs. 2 planned)
-
Engaged 223+ developers and builders (more than 2× the original target)
-
Supported the deployment of 25 projects on Scroll (2.5× the target)
-
Established Scroll as a visible and credible zkEVM ecosystem within Argentina’s Web3 community
These results validate the Local Node model as an efficient, high‑leverage growth mechanism for Scroll in emerging markets.

Builder & Developer Engagement
| Metric | Goal | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Builder programs executed | 2 | 3 |
| Developers engaged | 100 | 223 |
| Projects deployed on Scroll | 10 | 25 |
Performance Highlights
-
+123% over target in developer engagement
-
+150% over target in project deployment
-
Consistent month‑over‑month participation growth
5. Ecosystem Outcomes
Builder Outcomes
-
Multiple MVPs built directly on Scroll zkEVM
-
First‑time Scroll builders converted into active contributors
-
Strong adoption of Scroll tooling in hands‑on environments
Community Growth
-
Strengthened local builder network with sustained engagement
-
Cross‑community collaboration with hackathons, media, and educational initiatives
-
Scroll positioned as a serious alternative to incumbent L1/L2 ecosystems
Visibility & Narrative Impact
-
Continuous Scroll presence in Argentina throughout Q4
-
Organic amplification via events, livestreams, and social content
Reinforced narrative: Scroll as the zkEVM for builders who care about sovereignty and privacy
6. Budget Efficiency & Cost per Impact
One of the strongest signals of success for the Argentina Local Node was its capital efficiency, converting a relatively small grant into measurable, on-chain and off-chain outcomes.
Cost Efficiency Highlights
-
Total funding allocated: USD 25,000
-
Developers engaged: 223+
-
Projects deployed on Scroll: 25
Derived efficiency metrics:
-
Cost per engaged builder: ~USD 112
-
Cost per Scroll project deployed: ~USD 1,000
These figures are significantly below industry benchmarks for developer acquisition and early-stage ecosystem growth, particularly when compared to traditional hackathon-only or paid marketing approaches.
The Local Node model proves especially efficient because it:
-
Reuses infrastructure across multiple activations
-
Compounds community trust over time
-
Converts education directly into deployment
7. Reach, Visibility & Media Impact
Beyond direct builder participation, the program achieved strong organic reach across social platforms, primarily X (Twitter), reinforcing Scroll’s presence in the Argentine and Spanish-speaking Web3 ecosystem.
Social Media Reach (Local Node Channels)
Across October–December 2025, official posts related to VibeCode Camp, Content Hackathon, and Founders Journey generated:
-
36,969 total impressions across Scroll-aligned accounts (Buidlers, ChatterPay, EtherArgentina, Scroll ES)
-
Consistent multi-account amplification per activation
-
Strong peak reach during Founders Journey kickoff and livestreams
Content Hackathon – Creator Amplification
In addition to official channels, the Content Hackathon activated independent creators and community members, generating:
-
46,728 additional impressions via third-party creator accounts
-
Participation from regional and global creators
-
Cross-platform spillover (X + Instagram)
Live & Virtual Events
Scroll-branded livestreams and workshops during the Founders & Devs Journey Program attracted:
-
2,938 live attendees across 5 virtual workshops
-
Topics ranging from Product & UX to Fundraising, Marketing, and Account Abstraction
Total Estimated Reach (Q4 2025)
Combining official posts, creator amplification, and live events, the Argentina Local Node delivered:
- 80,000+ total impressions / live touchpoints in a 3-month period
This reach was achieved with minimal paid promotion, relying primarily on community-driven distribution and partner amplification.
8. Learnings & Insights
-
Localized execution matters: Spanish‑first, context‑aware content dramatically increases participation
-
Hands‑on > theoretical: Builders convert when they deploy, not when they watch
-
Continuity beats one‑off events: Multi‑month programming drives real ecosystem impact
These insights reinforce the strategic value of Local Nodes as long‑term growth infrastructure rather than short‑term marketing initiatives.
9. Recommendation to the Scroll DAO
Based on the results achieved in Argentina, we strongly recommend:
-
Continuing and expanding the Local Node program into 2026
-
Treating Local Nodes as a core ecosystem growth primitive
-
Doubling down on regions with demonstrated builder density and execution capacity
The Argentina Local Node has proven that a relatively small, well‑structured investment can translate into outsized, measurable impact for the Scroll ecosystem.
10. Closing
The success of the Argentina Local Node during Q4 2025 demonstrates that Scroll’s values resonate deeply with builders when delivered through trusted, local leadership. With continued DAO support, this initiative can evolve into a long‑term engine for sustainable, grassroots ecosystem growth.
We look forward to continuing this work and scaling its impact alongside the Scroll community.
