The Community Grants Support Program is clearly value adding as it fills a huge gap. Scroll needs more global presence and community events are a great way of penetrating new areas.
I really like the spectrum of the funding amounts which is $200-10000.
Curious how you’ll quantify if the event is successful, what makes it valuable for Scroll? Recently we’ve all seen a huge trends in organizing events, hackathons, etc that did not yield tangible results overall in web3. Just want to make sure how we’re protecting against that.
The framework is particularly strong. The categories are clear, and the ‘Flex’ option is a great catch-all for creative ideas that don’t fit in a box. It feels like a real plan to help grassroots communities get the support they need. Kudos to the community council for putting this together
Agreed - what ends up happening is : serious ones get punished and the ones that exploit have mastered the art of meeting KPIs in-paper and are incentivised to fake results to get paid
This great initiative will further put out the scroll ecosystem in the mind of more builders and contributors.
I am so excited to have submitted a proposal for my community (x.com/sofegroup) to promote Scroll and a number of Scroll products at our upcoming Blockchain Career Expo conference to be held on the 6th of next month at the University of Jos, Nigeria.
The conference will host 800-1,500 participants, ranging from builders to creators and contributors.
Looking forward to hearing from the council @Carla, despite the short notice. All the details are on the proposal
Thank you for applying to the program and for your interest in supporting the Scroll ecosystem. We’ll be reviewing your application shortly and providing feedback.
Hello @Carla, hope you’re well. I am following up on my application, number APP-41ZB1PLM-1DL9MC.
summary
My community is proposing featuring a 15-minute speaking session on the Scroll ecosystem and a 30-minute hands-on workshop exploring Scroll products ( EtherFi Cash, ChatterPay and Polystream) during our Blockchain Career Expo Conference, which is to take place on the 6th of December with 800+ proposed participants. We also intend to build long-term contributors through our Blockchain Career Training Program (BCTP).
I am sending a reminder because of the closeness of the event. I hope it is considered.
GN! A suggestion. Next time include the time zone that you consider for the application. It said December 19 and in some countries we are still in December 18 and form is already closed.
