Event Description

ETHSafari is Africa’s largest builder-first Ethereum festival, bringing together 300+ developers, 100+ projects, and top Kenyan blockchain institutions. The festival features pre-event hackathons, startup showcases, and interactive networking sessions across Kenya’s Ethereum ecosystem.

Scroll’s sponsorship aimed to:

  • Showcase 9 Scroll Node founder projects to African developers and builders.

  • Increase visibility and adoption of Scroll zkEVM infrastructure.

  • Enable early-stage product testing, community engagement, and ecosystem partnerships.

Key Metrics & Impact

Community & Developer Engagement:

  • 300+ developers and university students engaged at ETHSafari.

  • 50+ early product users onboarded across six Scroll Node projects: Expendi, Bondley, BlockCoop, MiniLend, PayLinx, QuestPanda.

  • 24+ social posts tagged Scroll on X

Project-Specific KPIs:

  • Expendi: 10 early users, $300 in test transactions.

  • Bondley: 10+ social bonds created, user feedback collected.

  • BlockCoop: Community marketing and SACCO activation completed.

  • MiniLend: Pitched micro-lending solution and gathered feedback.

  • PayLinx: Secured connections with potential pilot partners.

  • QuestPanda: Ran 12 on-site quests and secured partnership with Pretium.

Resources & Support Impact:

  • Financial support enabled team travel, booth setup, and participation in networking sessions.

  • Networking & mentorship provided by Scroll Community Council helped validate products, build partnerships, and strengthen technical knowledge in zkEVM and decentralized infrastructure.

Conclusion:
Scroll’s sponsorship at ETHSafari successfully increased brand visibility, engaged 300+ developers, and onboarded early users across multiple projects. The program strengthened Africa’s Ethereum ecosystem by facilitating partnerships, validating projects, and showcasing zkEVM infrastructure to builders and university communities.
