Buying SCR is hard?

So, I just tried to buy SCR with the available options on Scroll - SCR, and I have to say it’s an abysmal experience

None of these DEX options worked for me. For those of you who have bought SCR before, what was your approach, and from a delegate perspective, how do we make buying SCR a much much simpler user experience?

Hi @connormcmk, I’ve tried Maverick and SyncSwap before and that worked fine, but not recently. What has been the issue with them?
SCR volume on these DEXes seems rather low, so CEX would probably easier. Maybe it’s worth to explore some options to improve liquidity.

oku.trade works well too

Is there any interest in having the foundation or the DAO put together a proposal to get SCR listed on various exchanges? My only concern is these listings are quite expensive but if onboarding is a challenge for us it may be worth it. Perhaps the Growth Council ought to look into this.

yes, seems reasonable, and seems it could be good for token price too

To @bitblondy’s and @cxgonzalez’s points, this is something that the Ecosystem Growth Council can look into.

CEX’s and bridging are currently the best bet

I tried again today and I just keep running into issues. I’m not technical enough for crypto haha. Are we listed on Coinbase?

Anyone having issues I would recommend going to coingecko and check the markets available for the asset. In general there are a lot CEX that have it listed but DEX are lacking or liquidity is low. So there is definitely a chance to tackle this with the EGC and create deep liquidity pools across different DEX and bridge provider.

Agree that liquidity and exchange listings could be a good topic for the growth council.

@connormcmk I don’t think Coinbase, but Binance and other exchanges. As @EzR3aL suggested, you can find market lists on coingecko or coinmarketcap.
