# Strategic Deliberation for SP-1 Vote

Hello fellow Scrollers,

This afternoon I put together a rationale for my planned vote on SP-1, [Proposal: Research to inform a builder support strategy - #15 by EthereumTGU](https://forum.scroll.io/t/proposal-research-to-inform-a-builder-support-strategy/368/15)

I’m planning to vote **in favor** of SP-1. You can see my full rationale here:

Key points in favor include:

2. [I’m really impressed by the RnDAO team](https://play.negationgame.com/s/scroll/uWXDav), [especially including Daniel Stringer](https://play.negationgame.com/s/scroll/oDidbB)
3. [The live Q&As and community conversations seem like a credible method of disseminating information to the community](https://play.negationgame.com/s/scroll/VplHEL)
4. [RnDAO has an incentive to do a good job finding accurate information for Scroll DAO](https://play.negationgame.com/s/scroll/aySXGy)

Key points against:

1. [The 2-3 month timeline to get results seems excessively long for 40 interviews.](https://play.negationgame.com/s/scroll/dqQMiM)
2. [I’m unsure whether it would be possible to find another firm who could do equal or better research for a similar or superior cost](https://play.negationgame.com/s/scroll/GMlfbp)

I precommit to voting NO on SP-1 [if this point](https://play.negationgame.com/s/scroll/DTPqAc) falls below 10 favor (unless there’s credible evidence of manipulation of the votes).

Note that the negation game is an experimental product and we’re still working out the kinks.
